Read Allah's Quran with its meaning, ponder upon it, and act accordingly.
The Qur’an is not just to be recited but understood. Allah repeatedly emphasizes that the Qur’an was revealed in a clear language so people can grasp its guidance.
Surah Yusuf (12:2):
إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
“Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an so that you may understand.”
Reading with meaning ensures that the message reaches the heart and is not just a verbal recitation.
2. Ponder upon it
The Qur’an repeatedly invites believers to reflect and think deeply about its verses rather than following blindly.
Surah Sad (38:29):
كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
“[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.”
Reflection leads to deeper understanding and strengthens faith.
3. Act accordingly
The Qur’an is a guide for life, not just for reading. True faith is demonstrated through actions in accordance with Allah’s guidance.
Surah Al-Jathiya (45:20):
هَٰذَا بَصَائِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ
“This (Qur’an) is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for people who are certain (in faith).”
Acting upon the Qur’an leads to righteousness, success, and Allah’s mercy.
Final Thought:
The Qur’an is Allah’s direct guidance for humanity. To truly benefit from it, we must:
Read it with understanding
Ponder upon its wisdom
Live by its teachings
