নুন দিয়ে বেতন

নুন এক সময় রোমে খুব দুর্লভ ছিল, ছিল খুব দামী। সেনাদের বেতন বা Salary দেয়া হতো নুন মেপে। লাতিন ভাষায় Salarium হলো নুন। আর এই শব্দ থেকেই চলে এসেছে SALARY বা বেতন।
